It is the optimum combination of knowledge generation and application that makes the distinctive feature of the department of CSE. The researches have been focused on responding to local and global real-world crises as well as in multidisciplinary researches conducted in the department which crossing the frontiers of traditional methods to create new knowledge. The department is keen to fulfill its social responsibility by taking up projects to automate institutional processes at the university and national levels, educate and train people, especially the young people of the country, through workshops on programming, software design, and other ICT training programs. The department opens its doors towards diversity. People from all over the country, from different cultural backgrounds, come to the department and become a part of the same culture that is practiced in the department.

The main focus of this lab is to research on intelligent systems by applying different AI algorithms and methods. AIRL is focusing on different research field like Cognitive Robots, Robot-Sensor Systems, Automated Reasoning etc.
This laboratory has been set up with well equipment’s like Servers, Cables (UTP, STP, Optical fiber, DTE-DCE etc.), access points, GPS, connector, crumpling tools, cable tester, NIC, RJ45 connectors, routers, switches, hubs and other networking kits. Packet tracer software is used for introducing technical details.
The Faculty of Science and Information Technology has two computer laboratories located at the Room # 204 and 205. Each one is equipped with highly configured PCs running with operating systems Windows/Linux and with latest programming, graphics and database software’s. The programming languages like C, C++, Java, MATLAB etc. to support the hands on laboratory practices for different courses, and students also participate on-line ACM programming competition.
The Software Engineering Lab is equipped with a Server, 30 desktop computers, and a multimedia projector. All the computers of the lab are networked. A range of software’s are used to support lab classes and research activities like programming, database systems, software engineering, computer networking, and high-performance simulation and modeling.
