Asma Kabir

Assistant Professor & Chairman

Asma Kabir is working as Assistant Professor and Chairman, Department of Pharmacy in Atish Dipankar University of Science and Technology (ADUST), Dhaka, Bangladesh.


She has eight years of experience in education.  She holds her graduation and post-graduation degree from Jahangirnagar University in Pharmacy. She received University Complementary Scholarship in Honors academic sessions and also received Scholarship from Education Board, Cumilla. She is “A grade Registered” Pharmacist. She also pursued a master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) major in Epidemiology from American International University Bangladesh (AIUB). She got AIUB Dean Awards for her outstanding results.  Asma worked as Sr. Training Executive in Beacon Pharmaceutical Ltd., Dhaka, Bangladesh. She was actively involved in different training programs as a trainer and is also involved in teaching among undergraduate students in Pharmacy. Asma is a self-motivating professional in her arena and also involved various extracurricular and social activities those indirectly strengthen her profession. She has twelve publications in different national and international journals as principal author and co-author. She is also working as an editorial board member in various well-known scientific journals and Research Associate at Pratyasha Health Biomedical Research Center (PHBRC), Bangladesh. Asma’s key research interest lies in the Pharmacology, Toxicology and Epidemiology. Beside the research work in development, Asma is enthusiastic on collaborating health related research projects with collogues and/or students. During her chairmanship, she introduces a variety of projects which encourages her students a lot. She is a member of Academic Council of this university.
